IJCASW is a Catholic Minority College, birthed by the Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (ICM Sisters) in the year 2016.
With a sense of commitment to the Person of Jesus Christ and His values, we want to make a difference in the lives of the rural women, by providing them opportunity for Higher Education that ensures equity, access and quality. Recognizing that Identity and Credibility of IJCASW are the best ways to evangelize and proclaim both Christian and human values, we dare to go against the current trend of profit-making and commercialization of education. Focusing on well –rounded formation that fosters quality of life of every individual student, we impart general life - skills , striving to bridge the gap between the academic knowledge and its applicability. Our priority in reaching out goes to the poor, ordinary, marginalized women, who are deprived of Higher Education. Our vision is to empower women to be the agents for social transformation, by eliminating all forms of harassment and violence against women. Thus IJCASW while responding to one of the National problems and challenges of unemployment , makes a valid contribution towards the enhancement of the Gross Enrolment Ratio of Women to Higher Education in India.
